Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how CornOut (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
By downloading “CornOut”, your use of the app is at your own discretion and risk. “CornOut” makes no claims or promises with respect to the quality, the accuracy or reliability of the app, its safety or security, or its content.
1. No Personal Data Required
We designed CornOut to support your recovery journey without requiring personally identifiable information. You are not required to create an account or provide your name, email, or contact details to use the app.
2. Anonymous Data Collection
We may collect anonymous usage data to improve the app’s functionality, experience, and performance. This includes:
- App feature usage for Analytics (e.g., number of streak days, relapse logs, tool usage)
- Anonymized contribution data to power counters on the Global Healing Map (i.e. if you check-in today or relapse today, a counter is incremented to populate on the map. The content of your check-in or journal entry or relapse reflexion remains on your device and is not accessible by us. See point 3.)
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
This data is stored in an aggregated and anonymized format and cannot be linked to your identity.
3. Local Data Storage
Your streaks, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data and they are automatically deleted if you uninstall the app from your device.
4. No Medical Advice
The content in this app is intended for informational and motivational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider for any questions regarding a medical condition or mental health.
5. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data and prevent unauthorized access. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information stored or transmitted.
6. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no account or personal profile to delete. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is removed from your device. If you wish to delete any cloud-based anonymized data (if syncing is enabled), contact us at ebapps.customers+cornout@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
